Our mess-free Simmering Potpourri Bags are all natural, biodegradable and compostable, toxin free, and will last several days.  Simply place the bag in a sauce pan, add 4 cups of water, then bring to a simmer. 

How long does a bag last?

You can simmer this bag on the lowest heat setting for one to four hours, then turn the heat off, let cool, and cover it with a lid. Once cooled, you can prolong the lifespan of the simmering potpourri by storing it in the fridge. Our simmering potpourri bags will last 4-7 days depending on how long it simmers each day.

What to do after the bag has simmered for an hour or so?

As it simmers, you’ll need to add more water. Do not boil. Never leave it unattended. Keep an eye on the pot and add more water as needed. 

Why isn’t the bag full?

The all natural ingredients have been 100% dehydrated, and will expand and fill the bag as it simmers.

Can they be used in a crockpot?

YES! These convenient simmering potpourri bags can be used in a crockpot. Simply fill a medium crockpot with water, about ¾ full. Turn the temperature to high and set for three to four hours. Make sure to leave the lid off. Check every hour or so to adjust the water level. Once the crockpot has cooled, you can prolong the lifespan of the potpourri by covering it and storing it in the fridge .

How to dispose of the bag?

You can simply toss in the trash or compost. The bag and it’s contents are biodegradable.
