Each valve comes with brass screen filter and rubber gasket.
After much investigation, I’ve finally found a way to use a valve on your mask and still have some kind of exhalation filtration without blocking air flow. Adding a brass screen filter acts as a droplet deterrent by catching moisture from exhaled breath.
Obviously a brass screen filter will not filter microscopic particles. However, it creates a first line of defense against small moisture droplets (the main infection vector).
